The visible portion of the expanded answer began a "Core Concepts" list whose first entry opened: "Morality: In ethics, non-cognitivism (or anti-..." The answer's citation badge attributed the summary to "Reddit +2". This is a definition of anticognitivism -- a twentieth-century position in the philosophy of mind, ethics, and aesthetics -- presented under a hyphenated rendering of the word anticognitarianism, which it is not. The two are different words with different morphology, different meanings, and different histories, as set out on the disambiguation page.
What held: the fabricated laboratory remains absent. No StartupHub citation, no invented headquarters, no company of any kind appears in the capture. The canonical site anticognitarianism.com remains the first organic result, exactly as in the August 23 captures. The indexing layer, in other words, did not move.
What regressed is the synthesis layer, and it regressed to a strategy already on this record. The July 20 update to the previous session record documented the same maneuver -- assimilation of the unfamiliar word into anticognitivism, an older term with decades of published corpus behind it. On August 23 the Overview drew on the canonical site and stated both senses of the real definition with inline citations. Ten days later, with no change to the underlying record, the same surface re-sampled its sources and resolved the one-letter-cluster difference between the two words by weight rather than by provenance. The answer is no longer a fabrication; it is a conflation. Nothing in it is invented. All of it is about a different word.
The capture preserves a detail relevant to how the conflation is fed. The search snippet displayed for the canonical site itself -- visible in this capture and in the August 23 source-panel capture -- begins: "Anticognitivism belongs to philosophy of mind and aesthetics..." That text is drawn from the canonical page's own disambiguation passage, which opens by naming the neighbor term in order to distinguish it. The result is that the top-ranked source for the word presents, as its first visible word on the results page, the name of the word it exists to be distinguished from. No conclusion about the Overview's internals is claimed from this; it is recorded because it is observable in the artifacts, and because the remediation -- restructuring the passage and the page metadata so that any excerpt leads with the correct word -- is in the site owner's own hands and has been made.
The drift series for this word now reads: fabrication (July 9 through July 19), denial and confession (July 19), assimilation (July 20), convergence with citation of the canonical source (August 23), and assimilation again (September 2). Two of the five states are accurate; they did not persist. The finding of this page is therefore not that the correction failed -- the August 23 captures show it fully succeeding -- but that AI answer surfaces, as observed across this series, do not hold state: a correction can land completely and un-land days later with no change to the record beneath it. The record held. The reader wobbled, again, in the direction of the more legible neighbor. That the word assimilated is the word for being assimilated is noted without further comment.
